Work Package 2 – WP2

Implementation of sub-activity 2.5 and 2.6 within the Work Package 2 (WP2 Soil improving properties of microbes and plants – identification and characterization): Plant material was collected in paper bags and dried at room temperature. Dried samples were grounded into fine powder using laboratory blender and prepared for elemental characterization by ICP-OES analyses.

Implementation of sub-activity 2.5 within the Work Package 2 (WP2 Soil improving properties of microbes and plants – identification and characterization): Selected weeds were identified using appropriate professional literature, and voucher specimens were deposed at the Herbarium of the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Biology, Institute of Botany and Botanical Garden “Jevremovac” (BEOU).

Implementation of sub-activity 2.5 within the Work Package 2 (WP2 Soil improving properties of microbes and plants – identification and characterization): Selection of the best weed plant candidates in terms of biomass and richness in mineral plant nutrients (Fe, K, Mg, P, Se, Zn) with an exception of the alkaloid plant (24).
